what is the size of raw file when you shoot weddings ?
Large, medium or small ?
Do you shoot Jpeg for proof ?

I don't shoot jpeg even on holiday. When I had a camera that did small raw I used that for casual shots, but I found I forgot to change it back sometimes. Professional wedding photographer, solution architect and general technical guy with multiple Amazon Web Services certifications.

Very quick downloading files...I admit, it was rather painful with the existing one, but man, what a difference! Once it's copied to the local drive, I initiate a backup to the external drives...and I go to sleep!

As for file transfer I use an external card reader with my FireWire 800 port. Faster than USB 3.0 but not as fast as Thunderbolt...but who makes external card readers with Thunderbolt yet??? the site

You still have to cul, adjust exposure, color correct and apply any desired toning, not to mention retouching and maybe pixel editing. How does file size make that easier? :p Gear
