Beautiful! I love the clarity of the water and the just-right shutter speed.

I sure would love to visit the Sedona area some day!

That's really nice. I like the variance in the water, from crystal clear to white.

Another good one, Mike. I suspect you came away with a lot of winners.

Thanks. The water was cool, clear, and crisp...but you sure wouldn't want to drink it. ;)

Thank you, Stan. The weather really cooperated during this trip. Purposely planned for during the monsoon season. The monsoon clouds hurt some opportunities (Slide Rock had very little reflections on the water due to cloud cover and time of morning), but worked in this area since it really helped to dapple and soften the light. On one stretch of Oak Creek, we were literally able to shoot for several hours due to the consistent light.

Very nice shot, as are all of your shots from your Sedona Trip. I really need to pay closer attention to Oak creek. It's only an hour away, and I have almost no shots there. Clearly there are some beautiful shots to be had... ;-)a

Thanks. Oak Creek does have plenty of shooting locations. The creek is really nice when it lights up with red and orange reflections from the cliff faces. The monsoon clouds blocked most of the reflections on this trip, but it made for other advantages. I'm going to try and get back in the fall once the colors start to change...

Another top shelf capture, Mike. Great job on the water. We were thru there several years back, and Oak Creek was one of the highlights of the trip.

A few swirls with the Steripen or running it through the MSR will make that the sweetest drink of water you've ever had in your life though!

Nice shot, too!

Great looking picture that is worthy of a large print.

Yeah, there's a lot more to Oak Creek than just Slide Rock. Plenty of opportunities up and down the creek.

Didn't have the sterilizer with me, but there's not much need for carrying a lot of water...one Nalgene would get you through the morning golden hours with some to spare. Hiking in along West Fork is another matter entirely... ;)

Thanks, Elill & Julian. Hard to take a bad shot in this area when the conditions are right (and you have an LB Color Combo polarizer). ;)
