Hi everyone!

I'm not really a bird shooter, but had that Blue Hay around were I was camping so I chassed him a bit. Opinions?


Very sadly, I chopped his tail off :(

Welcome to Birds, David. Nice bird for your first post here. I think your compositions and exposures are strong. Did you crop at all?

Hi Joseph, thanks for your reply.

Both are cropped, picture one having a stronger crop since it was shot on landscape orientation. I was using my 60D paired with my 70-200 F2.8 and my 1.4x TC.

Both were shot at F4 (F5.6 because of the TC). ISO 800, 1/500 and 1/1000 respectively.

Any tips I should be aware of?
