Despite the very early evening hour, the sun was still high enough to make lighting touchy. Lots of blown out white and hard shadows. Our side tied my alma mater 1-1 (bear in mind, Bay is D2 and has a coed student body of less than 1,000 whereas St. Ed's is D1 with an all male student body of nearly 2,000). These were all with a 1D3/70-200 II/1.4x tc. Exif is there, feel free to comment.

The horizon's are off just a little but I like the action. You might try a little selective color correction for the red faces if you CS5 and reduce the contrast just a touch.

Nice shots, great timing. Wish I could get that right.

As always, you snagged some great action. Tough lighting conditions with harsh shadows. Some of the whites on uniforms are blown a bit but I'd much rather see that than well exposed uniforms with dark, featureless faces.

Thanks guys. PB, that's a good call on reducing the reds, thanks. I disagree on the horizons but it's not worth haggling over.

Well, perhaps the last one is off slightly. I use the grid to line up objects that should be straight and things like lighting poles and fences are all on lines so I'm not sure how to get things much straighter.
