The MotoGP and 125cc bikes ran for the first time on the freshly repaved road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Distances at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are so great that you need a very long lens to get a cleanly framed image. The above pictures came from a Sigma 150-500mm lens, used near or at its full extension. Also, the Speedway's fences are not easy to overcome.

I'm digging that shot of Hayden (boo fence).

The fences are a chore. There are only about 10 spots that are fence free, but you also have to share that real estate with credentialed photographers and the other 10-40 photographers behind the guard rails. Turn 2 and turn 6 have yielded the best results for me.

I just checked out turn 2 & had good results, the problem us that I had to hold myself up on the fence in order to shoot thru (slightly down) the opening.

DC Fan, the last two posted was using which lens?

Once I get a chance to filter some shots I'd like some feedback from you.
