My zelkos tubes came in today. I have a problem

Does it have aperture control?

I don't think the aperture control will function unless you have a manual lens, unfortunately.

Assuming you got Zeikos auto extension tubes then you should still have full aperture control of an auto lens.

yeah i suppose we need to know if auto or not, in fact I think it might just have issues with all three attachments I read

They should work with AF and aperture setting, but as the one reviewer commented, the resistance of the contacts made it suspect. The other reviewers didn't seem to have the same problems.

I just played with it. I couldn't see the difference out of the lens, but when I shot 1 @ 1.8 it was blurred, then I shot one @ f8 and more of the ring was in focus.

On the 450D there is a aperture(DOF) preview button, if the aperture is working then setting it to a higher value will show in the viewfinder when it is pressed as a lower light level.

Edit: it looks to be the same on the 5D, it is the button just below the lens release button.
