holy, I've never seen a CRX used like that lol.

It is his rookie season in the class, and he is stupid fast in that car.........he came out of the entry level Bomber class, which is run on a tight little oval inside the 3/8ths mile track.

The class has worked out well, as it has fed drivers into the Mini-Stocks. His win tonight put him back atop the points standings in class. With two weeks to go in the season.

that is crazy impressive!

There's a few guys out here in BC doing hill climbing events in the Okanagan and they clean up in their division.

I almost bought a CRX back in 1989, but went with an RX-7 instead.......that was my 1st and only car, as I always had trucks before and after that.

I miss that generation of street cars, along with a few others from other makes......it was a fun time to be a 20 something gearhead.

Great lighting and very good shots indeed,both sharp,but lovely blur.
Are these as shot ,or have they had a bit of help on backgrounds,am not trying to be insulting,just curious.

1st one I pumped it up on the background just a tad, as the sun was still above the horizon, and I had to use the infield port-a-potty to keep from being blinded by the sunlight, so it was a tiny bit weak in regards to richness of colour as shot, IMO

Second one was pretty long after sunset, and made me wish I had a 135L instead of a 70-200 F4.0

The sun has started to set more and more behind that row of trees, so while all the pretenders are shooting at the other end, without the benefit of the sun, I'm using that backlight for some artsy drama stuff.

is your title a Clapton reference? If so, good one!

It's when the days get shorter and I get this light to make these shots work. I was a huge fan of that song and the movie Color of Money back when it was released.

I'd been in a funk both health and shooting wise of late, and all of a sudden last night it started clicking again, and I felt like Fast Eddie Felson at the end of the movie.

I'm just hoping that when the light is right, my buddy that drives a certain white car is out there when I have a 135L for the Nats.

Last year it was overcast, and that just doesn't have the same impact.

These shots should make the track photographer hate me even more then he already does...LOL
