whenever you get one of these damn birds just right it is sitting on a chain link fence!!!

chain link fence is better than telephone wires, which is where our locals seem to hang out.

Ours are on electrical wires and poles too. Sometimes in trees. We're expecting our annual flock to stop by this fall. Last year we must have had 1,000+ birds fly through here and land in the yards. By the time I grabbed the camera and had it set they were gone.
