Hello I made some revisions to my website.

Added an overview video to highlight recent video and motion graphics work.

New logo and colour scheme.

Love to know how it can be improved further.

One of the top rules is: DON'T use Flash. I just tried going to it on tmy mobile device and saw a big black box. Having a mobile site doesn't invalidate that rule because iPad users want the full site. Google 'HTML5 video embed' and use a simple script for that. Most likely it Weill also make your website faster.

I say, use flash for your desktop version of the site, but you have to build scripting to autodetect what browser the viewer is using and then direct them to a flash or non-flash, or mobile sized version of your website accordingly.

However Im not sure what you can do about this when using smugmug. Youd have to make your own website from scratch to implement those features if they dont.

No flash on there, just noticed on the weekend the front page video doesn't show up on iPad - yet it does on IE, Safari and Firefox haven't checked the others yet. Video does show up if in a gallery. I'll log it with SmugMug.

I am thinking of leaving them for a PHP site or similar anyway.

I'll go with it for now - as most users (80%) are covered. Over 90% if it's ok on Chrome.

Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it.

With kind regards
Jeff

Yes as previously mentioned youll have to convert that flash video to HTML 5 and itll play on iOS devices.

what is you trying to convey?

What is the brand that you want to project?

Your site is a hodge podge of all sorts of photographs. I don't know whether you are a stock photographer, portrait, wedding, family, flora and fauna photographer.

Are you trying to sell your landscape shots? I dont see a tab about purchasing through you... or next to pictures. Good stuff overall--the first shot in landscape however the sky is a bit off from a CPL or something, maybe move it somewhere else (so its not the first shot I see) in gallery or re-edit the sky to make it look more normal?
