Anyone here experienced lost images on the Kinston Elite Pro CF Cards? Yesterday I just purchased one shot 3 test images (RAW). Turned off the camera and waited until light stops blinking. When I took the CF card out and plugged into computer, the images were missing.

I've been using an EP 2G card for about 3 months. I got home from an event on Sunday after shooting about 250 pictures, all of which were viewable on the camera. Popped the card in my reader and there was only one directory on the card. I flipped. Recovery software managed to recover all the shots but I'm a little weary of the card now.

Thanks Gordon. That's scary because I am a bit hesitant recommending anyone to Kingston brand.

Also to Clarify, I have multiple card readers. So this can eliminate guesswork not being a card reader problem.

Canon did just release a 1.0.3 firmware for the XT that addresses 'Communication issues with some CF cards'. I'm wondering if this isn't relevant. Hmm.

Weird...I use Kingston products, including Pro Elite CF cards, and have never had a problem with either camera.

Have you notice any significant speed differences using the Kingston Elite Pro 50x verses other brands?
I compared with my Lexar 80x and it's quite noticable difference. I didn't think it would had made such a difference otherwise I would had bought a faster card.

I also use Kingston EP's, I have a 1gb and a 2gb and have never had any issues with mine.

For those having issues, what model camera do you have?

I use the Digital Rebel 300D and I have both the Kingston EP 50x and Lexar 80x. When shooting continuous RAW, I will notice the lag.
