Very fast-paced wedding!

Haven't done a wedding in a while...luckily my wife was the second shooter on this one, and DAMN is she getting good!

This wedding was for a boss of mine, an incredible surgeon. This was both the bride's and groom's second marriage. The groom's wife died 5 years ago of metastatic breast cancer at an extremely young age, but they had two beautiful boys.

The bride and groom made sure to include the children in the wedding proceedings, including the vows, and they were beautiful. Not only did they have vows for each other, but they also had written vows for the children.

The fast-paced part...well, let's just say they booked me 2 weeks in advance, they booked their musicians 1 week in advance...so, not much preparation or location scouting. But we made it out with some good shots!

We did original color/white balance edits, and part of our process is to go through and choose some of our favorites to do some cross-processing/creative color editing. These were from the creative sets...

I like the last one. You can see the guests, but the B&G are *hiding*. Sweet moment.

Regarding C&C, the only photo that simply does not work for me is the first. I look at it and find myself trying to "get" it. Yes they're shoes, and there's a veil, but it's rather abstract. Are the shoes floating in air, or are they somehow "wedged" into the pink chair/bench? My eyes keep flitting across the image, trying to analyze it and make sense of it. That said, maybe that makes it the most interesting of the group. If it is one that makes sense to them, then that's even better!

The rest of the photos are delightful for subject, composition, and processing. The happy family should be very pleased with what you and your wife have done, especially with the short schedule.

Me, too; I like the "stolen moment" feeling of the last one.

#7 when you shoot with really wide lenses watch the heads in the corners always distort badly

Just a comment about the vows...I think i was wonderful they included the children in such a way. What a thoughtful couple!! Good pics too!

Yeah, I looked at it too, and out of context, realized it looked weird. But you're right, it sorta worked for me, and being abstract as it is, I decided to keep it.
