Psychodweep - those links are almost all pre-test to test units. There are many misleading comments in them, including in the LightingRumours review.

It was my first use of Google Docs, and it was fine after I made it publically available without log-in. But then on the 9th, Google disabled the upload facility for IE8 users. They say they are fixing it, or use Chrome. No way, I do not trust them. The file was lost while trying to upload version 4 of the review. Version 5 is being prepared now. Clive, and Great G/D Abbie

I would like to make the document universally available, as I did with the Knight Review. I no longer maintain a website. What do you suggest? I am not prepared to post the rest of my review on POTN after the moderators move its start to "Marketplace". Who looks there? "Search" does, I know, but that is not good enough. CliveyBoy - do you have a Facebook "fan" page for your photography? You could post the review as a doc there - that would be public 7D (gripped) | GoPro Hero HD | Canon 70-200mm f/4 L | Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 | 40mm f/2.8 | 85mm f/1.8 | 28mm f/1.8 | 3 * 600EX-RT - All gear

Yes. But unlike the Knight, the King follows Canon's protocol for actually using HSS. At and below x-sync, HSS is not used. Clive, and Great G/D Abbie

I tried using a Pixel Knight set before because of it's HSS function, didn't liked it at all. So i ended up asking for a refund, lucky enough the owner agreed to give me one. CliveyBoy wrote in post #13121162 I have no access to a Nissin, so cannot say. Can the Nissin be mounted on the camera direct, and be controlled by the camera's FCM? If not, the Kings would not be able to add that capabliliy to the flash. The Kings are about implementing by radio what Canon has done in-camera with what Canon has done in-flash, and has provided programming access. Third parties may well not provide complete programming or access. I tried mounting my Nissin Di866 MkII on my 60D and i can control the flash through the FCM alright but i can't access its custom settings... Yes, except it is the camera which enables/disables HSS, and issues commands to the flash. The trigger must be able to intercept those commands, convert them to radio-carried signals, and back again to what the flash needs. That's why triggers can optimise HSS - they can alter timings on the flash. Clive, and Great G/D Abbie

One set of transmitter and receiver is ~$350. That's 2X of Pixel King. Hardly fair to put them on the same level. j3yps wrote in post #13122623 I tried using a Pixel Knight set before because of it's HSS function, didn't liked it at all.
