It might help to post some photos as you will get more replies and some people will not click the link.

Since this is in presentation section do you want us to criticize your actual photos or how they go with the web site?

I really like the landscape photos but the portrait ones the position is not very appealing an lighting seems pretty harsh.

One thing I have learned is some will like your photo's others wont. If you like your work the best thing is to ask question how others may have light the image, corped it, things that will make your image pop out more.

I like # 4 of the first set, 1, and 5 of the second set. I like the desert but if there was somthing else besides sand I would like them better. like i said before that my opinion don't get discuraged not every one is going to like every photo you take that does not make it a bad photo.

What I want to know is why you're shooting the portraits with a narrower aperture than the landscape shots.

Because I am still learning.

Yes, I have realised that the power of my strobes are an overkill when it comes to portraits. Rather than setting the highest f/number to full power of the strobes. I should have set the strobes to around the sweet spot of the lens which is around f/4 ish on the ef28mm f/2.8.

Thanks :)

I know some people don't think skin smoothing is good, but all of your portraits need it. That isn't flattering at all. The lips shot doesn't do anything for me. The posing in #4 doesn't work. The desert shots, while interesting, don't have any subject.

OK where do I start

Harsh lighting and unflattering unsmooth skin

Do I really want to see the moustache hair and unfinished finger nails and skin inperfections at this range?

Dieing, wilting flowers with spider webs ... lifeless and boring

Desert shots, look underexposed, lifeless and boring.

Mosque in Saudi Arabi -- cmon horizon in very unlevel, this could have been easily fixed. Could have probably used a longer exposure on a tripod to bring out the structure better.

All these seem just straight out the camera with no PP so yeah.. could have fixed a lot of these things in PP stage... your not finished.

OK, thanks for your feedback guys. It has been very much appreciated :)

All of the my pics were all "straight out ofthe camera" (except for the RAW convertion) as one poster commented.

I must admit though that I don't like using photoshop because I try to capture the realty and not fantasy. I mean if a girls face in a photo has a few spots, wrikles etc, maybe that's because she is human. To me photoshop is there to make faces the same as shop window dummies faces and I think that a proper make up artist can do a lot better and natual job than photoshop could ever do.

Thanks

PS The mosque (I'm not sure wether it was a mosque though) and the desert shots were shot in the UAE, due to a 23 hour flight connection in Dubai. As car hire and petrol in the UAE are dirt cheap, I hired a car and went sight seeing :)

I would recommend some reading and thinking about your perception of photoshop (or whatever the tool might be). It's going to put you many steps behind everyone else doing any kind of serious photography if you maintain that position. While you're certainly entitled to it, you will be in a very small minority.
