Hi Guys,

I recently bought a new computer and I can't seem to locate the CD that came with my camera - does anyone have a link where I can download DPP? I tried looking on Canon's website but couldn't find it....

Thanks in advance!

you will need to call canon and purchase it on a cd if you do not currently have it installed on your computer. The downloads from their web site require you to have it already installed I believe.

Try here. This link was in another thread.

http://www.cdifoto.com/dpp.php (external link)

You will want to update it from the Canon site after downloading and installing.

In addition to the above suggestions, read through this Web page:

http://www.northlight-images.co.uk …stall_canon_software.html (external link)

You need either a previous version installed or "evidence" of one.

Because Canon provides the software free for DSLRs (and some other models) then you can go either route.

Then, you can go to the Canon site and to the main page for your camera, then a few clicks for the Software (at one point choosing your OS) will get you to the page listing the "updates".

The three of most interest are Digital Photo Professional (DPP) a Raw processing app that also has some tools that can be used with jpegs.

ZoomBrowser is a Windows "lightweight" image browser with a "lightweight" jpeg editor and a few tools/utilities for connecting with cameras and I believe memory cards and for downloading files and doing a bit of organization.

EOS Utilities is used to connect to your camera so that you can download photos and is also useful for "tethered" shooting.

And, download the User Guides -- it's in a second little section that you'll see as you navigate the Canon pages for your camera.

A note:

One of those apps (I believe ZoomBrowser if my memory is correct, needs its own individual installation or registry entry to successfully install the update. So, if you have a Windows system at least, you may still need to go to the Northlight site to get the registry entry right if you only install DPP from the cdifoto site.

Hope this helps!

The link in Post #3 is for Windows. For a link to the Mac version send a PM to René Damkot.
