First attempt

So I read through all of the Macro stickies and went out and tried my hand at a shot this evening when I spied this little gal. Handheld with my 100mm Macro F2.8 and all three Kenko ext. tubes and my 580EXII. 1/200 at f16 and 400 iso.

I don't know what she thought but I'm pretty happy with it.

Looks pretty good to me! Here's a thought, though: Unless you're using some type of deflector/diffuser on your hotshoe-mounted flash, it's probably overshooting your subject.

No that was without anything to soften the light. I have no experience using it and had it set on ETTL. I plan on making one of the world famous coke can diffusers.
