Well I went out tonight to take some photos of the sunset at this location, sadly the sun sets far to the left so I can't get the composition of the sunset and the buildings. But I had my IS on for when I was shooting people (which I never do) this past weekend. So that ruined those shots sharpness, but I noticed it after looking over and got this. Blown up the signs are a bit more readable, than in this smaller file. Throwing in a crop of 100% for the hell of it too.

and a 100% crop

Try to crop our ugly building on the left, other building with reflections look good.

Try a 9x16 dump the empty space.

I lived there as a kid. Any photos of the Vulcan statue?

Not diggin' the 100% crop. The reflections in the water look good! I agree that the unlit building on the left should go- seems kind of out of place with the rest of the image to me.

I really like it, and I like the buildings the way they are. The unlit buildings on each side balance each other out. My only issue is with the blue. It tries to overpower the rest of the image, but that doesn't mean it should be changed!

Thanks for the ideas y'all. I really was just doing a location test for this place and getting a feel for what kind of changes to my composition and such I will make. Now its time to wait for some killer light over the location I think.

Rivas, the 100% crop was just to show the quality---not to make a new picture. I thought for having just an 8mp Canon 30D I got this shot pretty good looking at close inspection.

I have some shots of the vulcan statue, but they are 'snaps' and not an actual photo. On my site I have one shot 'from' the vulcan.

I can't really help out the blue... I did not make it.

Well I'd have to agree that you did. It's a cool picture none-the-less.
