The most common sizes of paper backdrops are 107" and 53" wide.

To shoot full body, the 53" is likely not wide enough. The problem here is that unless you have a nice big vehicle, putting a 107" roll into a car is incredibly difficult, if even possible.

So you have a couple of options. Depending on what kind of full body shots you're looking to do, you could simply purchase a 107" roll and then cut it down to a size that will fit into your car, while still maintaining as much of the width as possible.

More information on what you're looking to shoot would be helpful for people to better recommend a solution to your question.

What I can recommend is this....

I want to put it out there that I do NOT work for calumet or have any interest in the company. I merely used them as a reference for the paper backgrounds. The background support on the other hand, I personally own two of. I absolutely love it. I've used it many many many times, meaning tearing it down, transporting, setting up, etc etc and have yet to see any visible signs of damage or wear that would inhibit its functionality.

Please specify more about what you're looking to shoot and also your budget. Photography is like cars, there's a thousand different ways to get to the same destination some are very cheap and thrifty and some will bankrupt you.

just my .02c

It is expensive - but I've spoken to a few photographers who claim that the Lastolite background has saved them tons of money through being very efficient and consistent for location work.
