Hey guys, This is really my first motorcycle shoot I have done. My buddy asked me to snap some shots of his Harley Davidson, and himself.

I managed to grab this one. I really love the way it turned out with the depth of field and all. What do you guys think? What could I do to make it better?

Shot with 1DmkII + Canon EF 135mm f/2L

Great light on it. I don't like that it's centered though. Maybe try a different crop?

It's good, but IMO, he's too far away. If you really want to make a picture like this pop, get in close (with your 70-200). Shoot at 200mm and it will almost look like 3D with the shallow DOF.

It's not a bad looking shot. I'd crop off about 1/2 the dead space on the right.

if you had him turn the wheel to the left, it would have dropped his shoulder and not hid his face...

but I do like the crop and DOF

So you ask people what they think and say C&C welcome and then dismiss it if it is in any way critical.

To me it looks like an ok snap, centred image, poor pose with uncomfortable shoulders, distracting markings on the road behind the subject.

Nice tones. I would have told him to plant his feet and turn the wheels left so it looks like he is static and not moving the bike. Look even tougher haha

Not a very appealing crop.

There is no crop on this photo, I hate cropped photos lol.

If you are satisfied with shooting snapshots, who are we to question it. BTW the way, why did you ask for suggestions on improving the image if you are just going to dismiss them?
