Has any one seen this review. http://www.thedigitalpicture.com …C-OS-HSM-Lens-Review.aspx (external link). Whats with corner crops with the trees, the scene shifts with every lens used, even the two Tamrons are completly different, and why does he not show a full sixed image so we can see where the crops came from in relation to the entire scence (I know he says they are top left but how big a top left corner is that). Above all it flies in the face of what a lot of users on here say about the 17-50 OS.

Photozone has sample photo images which you can see full size and zoom in to see @ 100%. Corners look fine to me.

Summary from the review: "If you don't need sharp corners (except at f/11) and you don't need every shot focused perfectly, the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM Lens is a great lens for the price. This is a good upgrade-to-the-kit-lens option."

LOL! What the heck?! Another "favorable" review of a 3rd party lens from TDP

I'm going to trust myself on this one :D

I like the lens so far, but to be honest, the corner performance at wider FL is not stellar. For example, for a large group portrait, using 28mm and f/5.0, faces near the edge were obviously more blurred, and needed selective sharpening. The same for my landscape shots at 17mm - with the apertures I usually use (f/8-f/10), edges are obviously soft.

I can't compare this to my previous lens (Tamron), because the Tamron had serious AF problems, and even at the center short FL shots were way off.

6D (normal), 6D (full spectrum), Tamron 24-70 f2.8 VC, 135L, 70-200 f4L, 50mm f1.8 STM, Samyang 8mm fisheye, home studio, Fast Stacker
