I don't know the exact reason why. but some cat 5 cables have a wire crossed over at one end. The wire color pattern will be different on each end for example, orange blue green brown on one end and green blue orange brown on the other end. That's probably the reason why some cables do not work as the Pixel componor is relying on a straight threw wire flow.
