I have Benro A-2691 tripod with B-1 head and I am trying to find the right short center column for it.
Adorama, B&H and Vistek offer pretty much the same product, recommended for Series 2 Benro tripods:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com …_Low_Aluminum_Center.html (external link)

http://www.vistek.ca …ize-2-aluminum/Specs.aspx (external link)

However, all of them have 24mm column diameter and I am positive (measured) that my long center column has 28mm diameter!
Benro site confirms that:

Vistek has similar product which is 28mm but it looks like not fully assembled:

So, which one to order?

Before calling tech support, I'd like to know if any of you guys have the experience with short center column for Benro Series 2 tripods.
Could someone actually measure the diameter of both long and short columns?

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

I have the same tripod, just the carbon version (C2691) which has the exact same specs, just made with a different material and ordered the C(arbon) version of the short column listed above...

got it in last week and it fits perfectly, however the head of the short column is not removable as a whole (thus it can't be used on the monopod) if that is of any concern...but you can swap the mounting screw by undoing the top nut

Also that seller is great with communication and shipping...I buy all by benro stuff through them.

They're all probably going off of the wrong specs. It should be 28mm. If you're worried, you could probably call them and ask them to measure.

I think this older version (external link) would have worked. They used to sell these as a center column only, and you had to switch over your mounting base.

Thank you gentlemen!

I guess I'll call either Adorama or B&H on Monday and ask them to measure the damn thing.
Vistek would be the most convenient for me, but they don't have it in stock.
If it appears to be 24mm, I'll have to order it form eBay.

Once again, thank you all!

Better to email, as we need to get a message across to the warehouse manager to arrange this.
If you email me directly with the exact model info, (including the SKU number) to Helen @adorama.com, I'll ensure it gets done.
