Hiking in North Canyon, Utah

I went for a hike on Wednesday and decided to bring my 60D. Let me know what you think. I am trying to get better so really any feedback is appreciated.

Here is my dog chasing a fawn. I wish I could of got a better shot because I thought it was way funny.

You seem to have a habit of placing your subjects in the center of the frame (feather, flower, dog). I'm not a stickler for the rule-of-thirds, but sometimes (but not all the time) it does work. Try composing with your subjects differently, such as at a one-third line. For example, with the dog shot, place the pooch at the left one-third line so it's looking towards the right. You do have a fine looking dog, though...
