A couple of newbie questions, if you don't mind.
I just purchased an FSB4 head, and having never purchased a video head before, I didn't realize that there are multiple options for the camera plate. The plate I received with the head is obviously meant for a camcorder, but it - sort of - works with my 7D if I remove the little retaining pin thingy. Problem is, when it's attached to my bare-bones 7D, the plate contacts the lens barrel unless I slide the camera all the way forward on the rail. Then I discovered that Sachtler sells a plate specifically for DSLR. Should I spring the addl $90 for the DSLR plate? What's the diff between the two? The photos I've seen on various websites aren't very illuminating.
Thanks!
