I'll tell you one, thing, I'm a long time drag race fan, and I have drag raced off and on all my life, but today was the first time I've tried photographing the races. It's tough! Looks like a few shots came out ok, but I've got a lot more practicing to do! One thing I found tough to do is get both cars sharp on a pan shot. I can one sharp, or neither sharp, but getting both sharp seemed near impossible. I'm going back tomorrow, so I'll try it again... 60D / EOS Elan / 15-85 IS USM / 70-200 f4L IS / 50 1.4 / 430ex / Fujifilm X100s / Slik U-212 (a genuine antique, like me....)

He was probably in his 60's, and stayed in that spot all day, from before the first round until they locked the gates. Wish I could have talked to him a while. I wore a thermometer one day for curiosity and it read 120ยบ trackside. This isn't me, by the way. I shoot at a much lower end drag strip.
