Actually, the horizons are about as straight as you can get them, considering the lens distortion. The distortion makes the horizon look askew in a few of the shots. I've been working on fixing the distortion in a lot of the shots. Some of the shots, the fix works really well... others... I'm struggling, a bit. I miss my "L" lenses...

You should also try to take the same shoots in the "golden hour / magic hour" (the first and last hour of sunlight during the day, when a specific photographic effect is achieved due to the quality of the light.), and the shoots will have more 'pop'

Yeah, I was really hoping to. The only problem is, the day I chose to visit Chicago (I actually live about 3.5 hours away from the city) was a stormy day. When I finally arrived in the city, I was met with heavy rain and - when not raining - heavy cloud cover. Sadly, the golden hours weren't so golden, that day!
