hello guys and girls.

a few months ago i shot a wedding concept film where the couple wanted to re-enact and share their engagement story with their family and friends. i've had this film up and ready for over a month but only now do i have a few minutes to post and share with you guys.

for those who follow my work, i stuck with my general approach in order to make sure that the film would seem as real and genuine as possible. hopefully it worked out!

in the past year of sharing here on POTN; i just want to say once again a huge thank you so very much for watching my work and the warm praises that follow.

the couples love story and wedding (which i will release asap) were shot in NJ (of jersey shore haha!)

http://vimeo.com/26820293 (external link)

this film was a single cinematographer shoot, shot across 3 days with a single 5D mkii and a handful of zeiss lenses that i normally use ie. zeiss ZF (21 2.8, 35 f2, 50 f2, 501.4, 100f2).

however due to the application of the film itself i decided to heavily use the Canon 45mm TSE 2.8 as i felt it would add to the storytelling environment of dream like flash backs.

I'll try to answer any education related questions in a timely manner;

THANK YOU POTN :)

Really nice video. Looks like a lot of time and work went into the video - from the pre-planning to shooting to editing. I'm just a ten minute drive from Sandy Hook... was fun to see in the video.

Congrats man... awesome job!

awesome that you recognize the spot Johnny!

i had a detailed general out line as to what happened and I did have a chance to location scout the beach via shooting the photo session first before the actual re-enactment portion.

a few notes were taken re the shots i had to have so that everything would make sense and flow properly to the viewer.

i dunno if it's good or bad but i would say that 80% of the shots and sequences i had to come up with on the spot (which i furthered in post of course)
