Hellooo!

Little Bulb are so joyously talented that I actually left the venue where I work for the first time in four years to go and see them play (and get a Glockenspiel lesson in a tent, in a car park, down an alleyway, at 2am) and then went back the next night to photograph ...

In addition to being a Total Theatre Award and Herald Angel winning theatre company, they also happen to be able to pick up any instrument and play it brilliantly, and with sheer glee and passion for what they're doing, in that moment, that's utterly engaging and endearing.

At the Fringe this year, they were performing in the form of the Little Bulb band in a free evening entertainment gig at the new Summerhall venue. I've said it was brilliant, a few times, so here are some pictures that don't do justice to how much I enjoyed it ...

Not one of the better images I took, but it shows Clare ("the best drummer on the Fringe" - The Herald) playing a tambourine like a steering wheel in a song called Drive, which I loved ...

Any form of C appreciated ...

#2: Girl on the right: Perfect. Girl on the left: Damn that mic.
#3: okay

#5: Very nice
#6: Nice, except for the bass stock covering up the BG
#7: Nice, but I keep looking at the second pair of arms. (so now you probably will as well, sorry ;))
#8: Very nice.

I have a ('better') version of #2 where they're both fully visible and singing into the mics but Clare isn't playing the tambourine like a steering wheel ... swings and roundabouts.

Thanks for the considered feedback, as always ... lots of little things to try and look out for next time ...
