Hi all,

I recently purchased 2 plus II's and I'm really enjoying working with OCF, but my main issue with the one i place on my camera's hot shoe is that it never feels like it's ON my camera. It constantly feels loose and will slide out of the shoe even with the lock down.

Does anyone know if the Mini TT1 will work with the plus 2s AND if it fits any more solidly on camera?

I use PW Plus II's and when I lock it down in the hot shoe it's very solid.

Are you sure there are no broken components on the foot of the Plus II and that you're seating it properly in the hot shoe?

It feels very loose all around the shoe mount. I'm not blown away by the build quality of these triggers either. Considering sending them both back and paying the $90 difference to get the Mini and Flex set up.

No one is blown away by the build but Plus II's are an excellent trigger and very reliable. Honestly, I can't imagine being blown away by the build quality of any triggers currently on the market. They're all plastic and few have a metal foot. Many don't lock and many feel like crap compared to a Plus II.

Sounds like you're having a knee jerk reaction to whatever problem you're experiencing.

As I said earlier, the Plus II when locked in place is very secure. You're having an issue that is not at all common or known with those triggers.

I didn't know what to expect as far as build quality goes when I got them. They work flawlessly. I've just always had issue with them since day one when placing it in the hot shoe. Both of them wiggle back and forth in the shoe even with the slightest touch.

Perhaps I just got a couple lemons?

I assume these are locked down? With that they should be solid on. Did you try them on anther camera? maybe flash shoe on the camera is loose.
