I will be heading to Pensacola, Fl in the near future for about 6 months. What sort of photo opportunities should I expect? Any place I should really get to?
Thank you.

Fort Pickens is a place to check out. I think there are tours, or a museum, at Eglin AFB. Over at Mobile Bay is the USS Alabama Memorial. Just a little farther is Bellingrath Gardens, a good day trip in the Spring. Back in Florida, check out Ponce de Leon Springs. Tallahassee has some good tours of the Capitol and Governor's Mansion. Florida Caverns, near Marianna, is worthwhile. Seaside is a planned development that has special homes near the beach. Chattahoochee is a quaint old town with interesting architecture. Fairhope, AL is another quaint town near Pensacola. Stan (See my gallery at http://www.pbase.com/sparker1

Spots that almost every photographer here has shot at would be the graffiti bridge on 17th,Ft Pickens, and Ft Barrancas. All are definitely a must. Don't forget about the Historic Village of Pensacola. Just go through the whole downtown area. There is nothing worse than a brilliant image of a fuzzy concept. - Ansel Adams
