I have an F2, and I love it. My question is the bottom pad. When I have it in the insert sits higher than the velcro. It is relatively thick 3/4" I believe. Does anyone take it out or not have one with theirs?

Are you saying your insert doesn't velcro in place?

in my F2 my insert velcros in place with no problem w/ the bottom pad installed.
Which model insert do you have?

It does but it doesn't quite line up. The insert sits a little higher.

Mine all work fine. What vintage are your F2 and your insert (and which insert)? They made a design change to the inserts fairly recently and made the internal dividers removable/adjustable, so if the insert specs shifted a little, they might not align with the Velcro. That said, a 3/4" thick bottom pad sounds awfully thick. Mine are more like 3/8", and that's plenty.

Mine has the new adjustable style. Gray felt interior with 4 way velcro divider. The bottom pad is two tone green and gray rubbish material.
