I own a Fuji X100 but I am after something more aggresive with more funtions. Which one should I be looking at ? 7D ? 5D ?

Dont get me wrong, the Fuji X100 is a great little compact for travel etc and I absolutely love the build quality

What is your main focus of photography? Sports? Landscapes? Portraits?

To be honest, I dont really know

My first 'real' camera is the Fuji X100

I would say I'm an all-round although I can say I like to do urban photography like alleyways, rusted and artistic drawings/items. Would that fall into portraits ?

I also like landscape too

If you need a very fast autofocusing system, as in shoot sports photography a lot, then the 7D's AF is wonderful.

On the other hand, if you shoot a lot of portraits, then the 5D would take some amazing photos. If it's your first trek into SLRs though, why don't you try out one of the rebels to see what it's like to carry a smaller body SLR around?

+1

Started with a T1i, which the wife uses, went to a 50D, then a 7D. If you're thinking of a 5DII, I would try renting it first, would suck spending $2,500 and you don't like it. Or at least go to a local photo store, if there is one nearby, and handle the camera if weight is a concern. My 7D is gripped, and the 24-70 is usually attached... talk about heavy! And I carried that combo around Philadelphia for a week on vacation, my arms bulked up for a while..

And like mystify said, try a Rebel, they are still very decent cameras. My T1i still isn't too shabby.

Yeah thanks guys

I might actually swap my camera for the 550D (T2i) aka Kiss X3 I think ?

I was actually looking at either that or the Fuji X100 before I jumped onto the Fuji
