Gargoyle capitol: Notre Dame, Paris

I've got some images buried deep on my hard drive if interested in seeing some. Come to think of it, I'll go visit and tweak'em. Let me know if it's okay to share here.

Well, first of all the Notre Dame cathedral is covered with reliefs warning us sinners to pay heed. I have to say, their medieval marketing approach is quite convincing. (Hard swallow!) I'll admit, I focused on the ghoulish.

The three shots were taken with my G9 which was sorely tested once I went inside the church. The two devil/demon reliefs are staged at the front portal. The crypt is from inside. I never did get up into Quasimodo's loft where the well-known gargoyles hang out, the waiting line was simply too long. If only I was armed with my 7D back then...
