Shot this wedding for my best friends little sister. She is like my sister, her parents practically raised me. Naturally this wedding meant a lot to me, so I wanted to do it right. I hope I've accomplished that. Thanks for looking, CC appreciated.

This is the Bride's Brother and my best friend. She said no facial hair, so he had this at the rehearsal dinner. haha.

You can see the rest of the wedding over at my blog (external link). Please do. Thanks.

#1 is pretty bad in my opinion. The flash off the wood is distracting and the people in the bridal party are cut off
#2 I like the pose but the processing is terrible
#3 The lighting is terrible and the shadow under the hat..yucky..
#4 The color is off..Not a fan of this one either.

If you were able to stand on a seat when you were shooting number one, it may have helped getting all of the face in the images. You might have been able to get away with natural light and not using flash in the first one too.

i liked a lot of the images over on your blog, though some were pretty small.

lighting in that train would be pretty tough for me, especially with on camera flash.

anyway, why the absolute random order of images on your blog?
is this a new trend that i'm not aware of? haha

Um no... that was me up way past my bedtime just trying to get my **** up before I don't have anytime again for 2 weeks.

Also non of that was shot with On Camera Flash.

I think the shots are pretty good, but the processing and cropping could be improved. I could be wrong, but the bright white spot on the back wall looks like it is sun coming through a skylight, not from any flash.

1. Try cropping it closer to focus more on the B&G and see if you can reduce the prominance of the white spot in back.
2. Great shot but agree that the processing could be reworked.
3. It's a nice moment, but there is a tilt and it might have worked better shot from a lower perspective.
4. I'd also crop this one in from the top left a bit and adjust the WB.

BTW, why did the bride's brother have to remove his facial hair but the groom was allowed to keep his chin fuzz?

wow, i'm shocked, because that first one (& 3rd) looks exactly like what i would expect from on camera flash,
and I would have guessed with a fong/stofen on it!

It was a AB400 > a softbox just over my shoulder to the left. Hard to get a light in a small train car.

I think its cool bro. little bummed you cant see the heads of the people in the back row in the first shot but whatever... they are just background to the B&G anyway.

the photo of your best friend, I dig the processing on that. I'd rock that formula through the whole set if it were me.,,

I dig the detoned look of #3 as well.

The bright spot at the back of the train is rather distracting and should be easy to tone down.

Im not really crazy about your processing. I agree with the above about faces getting cut out and faces not being lit properly, I did check out your blog and you have some nice captures and unique angles nice job im sure you B & G will love them

oh, how about that!

yeah, like i said, i'd imagine it being tough to light in there. the hotspot on the back wall shouldn't be too hard to tone down though.
