This is Tigress T-17 from Ranthambhore National Park, India. This Tigress rules over the biggest lake in the park and this morning we spotted her after waiting nearly 3 hours. She came out from other side of the lake chasing a sambar deer. Although her chase was unsuccessful but all this was a treat for out eyes!!

seems like tough lighting and little soft on the face, but good photo nonetheless. I was in ranthambore in early january and didn't get to see any tigers, saw a sloth bear though!

Yes you are right. sun was almost in the middle. couldnt help better.
generally in 3-4 safaries there you should be able to see a tiger atleast once :)
since i am a regular, generally see one in 70-80% of my safaries :)

A wild tiger? Incredible, regardless of light. Well done.
