Stumbled across a Labor Day 'end of the season' kind of thing in my old hometown on Labor Day and happened to be packing (well, my 60D at least  ). One of the images that I liked, but thought was missing something is this:

IMAGE: http://berniehphotos.smugmug.com/Events/Hull-Labor-Day-2011/i-LmpSB5Q/0/L/IMG5859-L.jpg

This has some minor adjustments to it from the raw; I liked how it came out, but I did a little tweaking and ended up with this..

So.. which version do you like better, and how do you feel about the edits to the 2nd?

Thanks!

Good editing but I'd like to see it somewhere between the two.

I understand that it doesn't follow the conventional rules for subject matter (I sometimes like these odd perspectives), and I'm not saying 'hey, isn't this the greatest image captured ever? EVER??'. The question was more about the edited version itself, but I do appreciate the CC

Thanks Woodworker -- I'd toyed with the idea of adding some grain to it and bumping up the contrast to push it more towards either a split tone or sepia tone, but for something just clicked when I got to where it is now and I liked it.
