Hi all,

In our last series post on our Bluebird fledglings Dave Brislance wrote:

Always love shots of your "babies" Kenn... beautiful little birds and images as usual... however, I miss your "tray full of blues" shots :) Have a great fall my friend.

db

... and I realized that we hadn't posted any of this year's "Bluebirds in the Bowl" shots. So here are a couple of recent ones...

These are the five fledglings of the fourth nest:

And here is Missy (front left), with 8 of her kids... (those same 5 above, and 3 of their older siblings).
Note: you'll have to look hard to see the 8th one (dead center in the back) :

All these birds are in full moult now and kinda ragged, but we know it won't be long before the whole family will be beautiful again in their new winter coats. :)

We hope you enjoy these,

Kenn

Kenn,
Very cool images.... You must spend a fortune on mealworms. I went through 180,000 this season and had 2 successful nestlings. when they fledged and I removed and cleaned the house the nest material had a cupfall of live mealworms within the nest material, obviously they were well fed ;)

Thanks for sharing! always enjoy your images!

I love the bluebird pics, as always - but the color-co-ordinated feeding bowl adds just the right touch!
