Was able to go to Malaysia recently for business for a couple weeks and spent one weekend on Langkawi, which is an island on the west coast. They have their own eagle there and i was able to rent a boat and do some shooting. I did not have a ton of gear on trip, but had my 7D and 200 2.8mm ii. There were some shots where the eagles were so plentiful there were 12 + birds in one shot. Had a blast.

That's a great bird to photograph! The wings appear transparent with the sun back lighting. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! They were incredible to shoot. I took 500 shots in an hour and a half. They were everywhere, literally.

My guess is it is about 80% of the size of an american bald eagle.

TY, it was pretty easy pickings here as action was fast and the place was beautiful, a saltwater river with acres of mangroves and plush limestone mountains shooting up all around.

Here is a sea eagle, quite a bit larger from the Langkawi Eagle. This one came in and the Langkawi's ganged up on it and forced it out of the feeding grounds.
