Sunset over the endless, grassy plains near Dalanzadgad, Mongolia.

4-shot panorama taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM and Singh-Ray 4-stop reverse graduated neutral density filter.

Stunning! Absolutely beautiful shot and composition. I would have believed you if you said that it was a new image from Peter Lik.

WOW. The colors produced by the sun are just MAGNIFICENT at sunset and you captured it perfectly!

Normally I would dislike the heavy-handed use of the saturation slider (or whatever saturation enhancement tool was used), but I like it here. This is a very smooth, clean, and simple image that responds well to the exaggerated colors. Nice.

Are these sand dunes or grass lands (looks like sand)?

They're grassy hills.

It's hard to tell from this distance at such a wide angle, but it's a fairly uniform surface covered in short, yellow-green grass, without many crags or jutting rocks.

Do you have it posted somewhere with better detail? I would love a better look at it, and I noticed it's not up on your site yet.
