Good point...tacks are sharp, but pins and needles are a lot sharper. We need poke-your-eyes-out pin sharp lenses, not those dull ol' "tack" sharp ones.

Actually. Are pins and tacks sharp? A knife's edge is said to be sharp. You can cut yourself with a sharp object. Can you cut yourself with a pin? We prick ourselves with pins and tacks.

Not trying to be prick, or prod at the point, but perhaps we're not all as sharp as we thought to first even question a photo's tack sharpness. LOL.

Irregardless, its a mute point weather a poster uses tack or tact for sharpness, anyways.

I'll be the first to admit a certain level of nerdiness but it still surprises me how much entertainment can be had on POTN from obscure threads like this. Don't get me wrong, it's the little things in life. ;)

Its not futile, some people just need some guidance. Just because their not good at grammer and spelling doesn't mean there dumb or anything. Grammer in general isn't known for it's ability to be understood easily. Thats why so many people struggle with it.

Don't loose your mind over the fact that others may have a loser grasp on the language then you. If we correct mistakes when we see them, itll make is all more affective speakers.

That is, sort of, er, like, um, AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like.

The internet has really made it apparent what a poor job our schools are doing...

What's depressing is that so many teachers don't know any better. Still, what can you expect if you pay peanuts?

I purchased a spectacular specimen of a Kwanon lense at Ye Olde Towne Camera Shoppe only a fortnight ago.

And conversely, if what you see on the forums is indicative of the job that they are doing, maybe they are being paid too much, because it seems evident that someone is not doing their jobs that well. Or perhaps, it's time to get someone else in there to do a better job. Just saying!
