Hey folks,
didn't knew, if this is the right topic, but can I use my iPad for editiong pictures in cs5? There is a Software in the appstore, but i guess not for editing just for some functions.

I like to use it with a pen to draw in the pictures, with the pictures shown on the ipad.

hope, you know what i mean.

thanks winam

The photoshop app is for doing basic amendments of photographs in your photo library (existing or new shots). It doesn't have pen functionality unfortunately.

The video appears to show the iPad as more of a input device, the image manipulation is on your computer screen. You also apparently have preview images on the iPad.

....the best camera is the one you have on you at the time.

Nav is just the tool palet on the iPad. I bought it to play with it. It is nice and if you have room next to your computer and a sturdy stand it works fine....but with a slight lag time. The lag time gets real old real quick. So I dont use it any more.

As far as I could find, there is no method to use the iPad as a full blown tablet with Photoshop. You would be better off picking up a Wacom tablet. It is the real McCoy and I couldn't live without them. If there was a way that the iPad could function in this way I would definitely pick the app up.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

while we are talking about IPADs

Last week I ordered a Compact Flash card reader for the IPAD, should arrive any day now.

Keeping my fingers crossed it works with the original IPAD and my CF cards.

It does! Got mine and works like a charm!
Besides, it can interpret the CR2 files, so you can use the iPad as a backup for your photos! ;)

Photography is about GEAR and not talent or practice. Practice won't make you a better photographer. Expensive equipment will. =D
