Is this what I would need to hold filters?

Trying to put together my own "lee style" filter kit.

How does that attach to the camera? They describe it as an adapter ring and a filter holder. Those are two different things. In the Lee system, you get an adapter ring which fits your lens's filter threads, then a holder which attaches to that. That looks like a cheesy kludge.

Looks like a regular Cokin P knock-off holder.
You still need an adapter ring.

That. Presumption is (since they said 77 mm ring) that the adapter is included.

You would think they would include a ring...
OTOH the hole on the Cokin P is very close to 77mm- I know because it fits snugly on a 17-40.
It is ebay so you never know!
I would buy one that clearly states what is included. It is probably no more than 1 dollar more for one of those.

If you are planning on using the 17-40 on a ff camera the P holder will vignette at the wide end. You would need to go for a bigger holder and filters (The filters for this system are 85mm, the bigger system is the Lee which is 100mm). There is quite a jump in price for both the holders and the filters.
A partial solution is to shave the last 1 or 2 slots of the holder- Cokin sells a 1 slot version of the holder as a wide angle holder (or something like that).

But they also say,

Package Content: 1 x Filter Holder

And I don't see a threaded ring. I wouldn't be surprised if they expect you to just push it on the lens barrel.
