Geez, you got lucky Dave, the day we were there it was absolutely packed solid with people and guys riding pushbikes like madmen. I like the symmety of this shot, it is nice.

Thanks! It helped that it was later in the evening (the EXIF says ~7:40pm), and there was a good crowd of people directly behind me. I think I just had the timing right :).

I have been on the Brooklyn Bridge very early in the morning during summer days. It is not bad at all. The people start coming in around 7:30 -8:00. The tourists around 9:00 and then it truly gets packed.

That is a pretty good photo, the lighting is not easy to deal with at that time of day.
