No way boring. I had a 30D before my 5D II and 7D. I'm looking forward to a 5D III with 60 fps video :D

You guys are all way too serious. "I like boring because it's all I need". These forums light up like a christmas tree when a new product is announced. Even if only 2% of us actually buy it. Canon hasn't really done anything cool and unexpected since the 7D. Or at least that is what it seems like. I don't "need" anything either, but I would like to see some buzz from Canon this year on something.

I am also happy with my kit. What they are producing (new 200-400F4 and the 70-200mm MKII, I can't afford. Earthquake had a huge impact on business and production as well as loss of life.

I haven't bought anything new in quite a while and even dumped a couple of things. I am happy to
shoot with my 5DII and any of my lenses. Gratitude is the name of the game.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I didn't realize this was a joke thread.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

A lot of us just don't really care about buzz. Smart phones are the same way. Something new is always coming out from HTC, Samsung, Sony, Motorola, etc. Some people hang onto the various websites & forums for every last bit of news while many simply don't care & prefer to spend their time using what they have.

Is Canon ever going to do anything exciting? There is never anything to talk about in terms of Canon news. Anyone else feel like all the innovation and excitement is happening everywhere but at our favorite brand?

Ironically, I actually quite like that one. I use it on my wife's point and shoot from time to time. :)

The next time I see a provocative thread where I spend more than 30 seconds looking at responses, I'll figure the OP is baiting.

Nope, I just wish for better weather, better health, and better pictures. Fine with what I have but like most everyone I have a wish list that I can't afford.

I want my equipment to be as boring as my Apple products. It should just work. I do not want things rushed into the market with errors, and I do not want to buy a manufacturer's experiment.

While I really do like my relatively new 1DIV, I am looking forward to something new and revolutionary. ;)

The only thing on my wish list is greater dynamic range, something akin to human eyesight. Can we say 15 stops? ;)

Yep, HDR a la natural. Now that would be an upgrade.

And don't tell me about the Phase One back. That costs more than a family sedan.

I'm not bored with my cameras. However, I am a photographer, not a gadget geek. Maybe that makes a difference.

Alright, I get it. You are a noble photographer and I but a peon who worships camera gear.

It wasn't really. I do wonder why Canon hasn't done anything noteworthy this year. But you guys are acting so high and mighty.

Down with you on this. Then again, I see so many comments about not wanting any consideration for looks, what's wrong with something exciting that performs and looks good?

When my GF3 + 20mm f/1.7 arrive I suspect the list below may be in danger.
