Are you using the profile spec'd for the paper? What program are you printing out of?

I'm using the right paper setting and I'm printing out of the software that came with the printer. It looks good on the screen and everything prints out good, except for the subjects skin. The skin has an orangish tint...

If you haven't already, this is where you get into monitor calibration and ability to soft proof.

I have had this printer for nearly one year now and not had any poor prints - simple forumla =

1. Profile monitor
2. Use Canon`s own inks
3. Use good quality paper with matching profiles - ( I use Permajet & Hahnemuehle)
4. Make sure that you select the correct paper profile before printing
5. Either of the above two papers do give details a s to the printer settings for use with their paper and also which coresponding Canon paper setting to use.
