thanks Bret .. these guys were 200.. 250 yards off the road.. there are 4 of them spotted 3 or 4 times over the past few weeks in the same field not far from me... very seldom do they come to N.S

I don't get to see these too often here Kenny, but when I do... they are quite far away also... you were fortunate to get such clear shots at such a long distance... nice work.

Nice work Kenny. I've seen them once here and it was way far off in the sky.

Nice Shots ! I never get tired of hearing these flying over the fields. These & the Loons make some lonely old sounds.

Regards, Ron ;)

What lens did you use?

I love the sandhill cranes. I'm about 80 to 90 miles off of their migration route. When they come through, they number in the thousands. I'm looking forward to their return in the next month. I don't have much for a lens and am hoping I can get something with a bit more reach before they arrive.

do you know where the Porkshop is in Denmark Ian? .. a couple of miles past that.. do you know Connie Langille? .. in his fields.. it'll be the first large fields after you start onto the new pavement in Denmark .. these were shot on the right hand side.. but they've been seen on both sides of the road

i'm just leaving to go past those fields now.. they've also been seen this side of Scotsburn
