I prove my manliness every time I make fun of others--like Fricks :)

"Manliness" is perhaps not the correct word.

Hiya Omar. Counting the days til you and Mayra unplug? ;)

You wouldnt imagine. Our work lives have consumed us these last two weeks. When your not leaving the office it seems as it all come in at a steady flow. However, give a hint of leaving for a few days and all hell breaks loose

To be honest Nick i cant really recommend the 500 too much. You can get the 705 refurb bundle at 299.99. That is the best deal on the block in my opinion.

http://www.amazon.com …Refurbished/dp/B0020JDAME (external link)

It's the exact same thing as the 800 minus turn by turn. How can you not recommend that?

I like the 500 because it's way smaller and quite frankly I don't think I would use the turn by turn very much.

Because the edge 500 bundle new is 349.99 vs a refurb 705 bundle is 299.99. You get more on the 705 pick up for less.

or refurb 500 bundle is 279.99. I would pay the extra 20 bucks to have the turn by turn map building ability.

You linked me to the page to buy a new 500.

My biggest problem is the 705 is twice the size and twice the weight.

I've read some stuff on people having trouble with the 705's mount, and even a couple of people who have lost theirs as a result. Basically all I really want is the functionality of my cateye, plus heart rate. Being able to accurately track my route afterwards is a plus.

^The model is pretty for sure. I would've asked her to stick out her hips more to give it that zing of sexy!!

Lol! Next time I do a shoot, I'll have my model do the hip thing so I can get a pic just for your taste, Julian. ;)

Your kidding right? On size and weight? Are you a cat 5 racer? And the slide mount if it was truly such an issue a fix would have happened. Like on these forums those who are unhappy will scream the loudest while millions are happy without issue.

The price difference in my opinion is zero. 705 is easily the purchase at 20 bucks variance on the refurb side.

But hey its your money. :p
