Blue heron and Hawks, high ISO shots

went out with a friend this morning. got out of bed really early, and the light was poor. had to bump up the iso. Used the 7d with 100-400 IS.

this was shot ISO 3200, and then pushed another stop. could not get close to him before he took off.

This guy, I got really close to and got a head shot. here is one at iso 1600, pushed another stop in post

and this guy was about the size of a pigeon. Here are two shots of him. My friend said its a Kestrel?

Nice, #1 red shouldered hawk, #2 Great blue heron, #3 & 4 are in fact Kestrels

The last shot of the kestral with the wings out and the lighting behind it is the one I like best.
