I want a flash for my 60D but can't justify the cost yet of a 580EXII. Are there any other flash units which are in comparison with the 580EXII? What are the differences between the 580 and 480 (or next model below the 580)? What makes the 580 a great flash?

Thanks

What do u want to use it for? Thats the first question. If you want a wireless capability and ttl but don't need hss I would get a yn 565. I'm about to order one myself and its only $150!

I already have 3 Canon flashes but I am tempted to pick up a YN-565 because it does so much for only $150.

I think I'll pick up the YN 565 also.

I want to learn how to use flash but wanted something which had many options to learn about. The YN 565 appears to cover that.

Thanks
