Sorry to hear it was stolen. Did it get taken off your vehicle?

I had it under my back porch and somebody managed to get it and drag it through the whole back yard and leave with it.

I had my maiden photography voyage with the new kayak today. I'm very pleased with its performance.

Yeah, it was perfect weather wise. I almost always go out in late evening/early morning for photography. My camera doesn't even come out of the case when it's choppy generally.

Hi,

Recently a fisherman at my local loon pond told me of another pond I could find an active hatchling, so a few days ago I checked it out.

This is momma with her offspring.

I have about 12 pictures mostly of momma teaching the little one how to fish that are here: http://jack-dorsey.smugmug.com …996957&k=dwmJtns&lb=1&s=L (external link)

You are welcome to view them.

Hi guys,

A few days ago I was invited to photograph the Naked Division of the Lake Winnipesauke Beauty Contest that was discreetly held at Five Mile Island.
This map shows the location of Five Mile Island and the route I traveled to get there. I took a longer route than need be as I was early for the contest
and wanted to check out a few other areas as well. As I approached Five Mile Island, I saw the contestants gleefully arriving from Bear Island.
They seemed very comfortable in their birthday suits.

This is the first runner up! She is Miss Hull Island!

IMAGE: http://jack-dorsey.smugmug.com/Nature/2013-Common-Mergansers/i-tQmk6MD/0/L/IMG_8629-L.jpg

She is a beauty for sure, but she seemed a little worried. The snooty looking judge probably took off points for that!

IMAGE: http://jack-dorsey.smugmug.com/Nature/2013-Common-Mergansers/i-J3SZ9sj/0/L/IMG_8630-L.jpg

Here the winner is passing the judge!

IMAGE: http://jack-dorsey.smugmug.com/Nature/2013-Common-Mergansers/i-9Mwgnzq/0/L/IMG_8642-L.jpg

It's the confident Miss Three Mile Island!

IMAGE: http://jack-dorsey.smugmug.com/Nature/2013-Common-Mergansers/i-FCGbxXH/0/L/IMG_8646-2-L.jpg

Here Miss Three Mile accepts congratulations from her adoring fans.

Although I'm not normally a fan of beauty contests, I did enjoy participating in this event as did this guy on the grand stand!
