There weren't many birds this time of year so I tried my hand with Dragonflies.

I've been watching this thread for awhile now and finally built up enough courage to take the camera out on the kayak. Unfortunately it was a very slow wildlife day and didn't get the shots I was hoping for but it was very therapeutic and I plan on doing it again soon. Thanks for posting all the excellent photos and for the inspiration!

Thank you OldCrow.

Like the greenie Nodal and Mallard jcammn.

Yes it is therapeutic even without the camera, but more so with.

It's been a while. Went out the other day but only shot landscapes of the rust colored Bald Cypress.

Just got around to processing an image from September.

Another from September. I know it is a stretch for a wildlife thread but there are birds on the left and back lit dragonflies in the forground.

This scene is great. It's a kayak thread to. Somehow these kinds of scenes are extra special from a kayak.

Thanks Nodal. I know what you mean. There is just no way to describe the feeling to those who have never been out there to watch a lake come alive in the morning.

Looks like a Yellow Throated Warbler. Could be male or female.
Nice shot of the Reddish Egret (white morph) also.
